Housing Solutions Feedback
-
The resident Handbook workshop allowed us to gather lots of valuable feedback, which we will incorporate into the next Residents’ Handbook wherever possible. It was a great starting point, and the following are some key examples of points raised at the workshop:
• You like the Handbook as it is and would definitely like it to remain available in hard copy format;
• You like the folder it comes in as it keeps it neat;
• You would like information about staff – job descriptions and what they are responsible for so you know who to contact for what;
• The repairs section could be condensed, especially the information on repairs diagnostic – the general feeling was that this is not relevant for residents.Over the next two months or so, we’ll be contacting residents who are new to the organisation, to see if they have used the handbook, and if they find it useful. A survey is now available on our website for residents to complete, but please be assured we will still take on board all of your comments from the workshop too.
We will also be talking to other departments in Housing Solutions, to see what information they give to residents. For example, a large sign up pack is given to residents when they move in – we want to make sure we don’t duplicate information.Thank you to all those who came, we appreciate your time and feedback.

Information
Housing Solutions would like to invite you to the Resident Handbook workshop with a fish and chip supper where we will be reviewing our residents handbook and we’d like to know what you think about it.
This is an opportunity for you to help decide the new format and contents of the next resident handbook. At present it is quite a large document which is costly to produce. We’d like to ask residents to work with us to make it more accessible, easier to use and cheaper to produce. We will be asking you for feedback regarding the:
- usefulness of the information
- amount of information
- format
We’ll be serving up fish and chips from 6.30pm, and will begin discussing the handbook at around 7pm, the workshop should last for no more than 1 hour. The evening will be informal and we’ll be looking at our existing handbook, and other organisations handbooks.
All are welcome to the event, even if you are a new or longstanding tenant, we value your opinions. Reasonable travel and childcare expenses will be reimbursed.
