This year you will have an opportunity to speak to the Association’s Directors, members of staff from all service areas, the Police and the Fire Service. John Petitt, the Association’s Chief Executive, will be the guest speaker. The Residents’ Association Executive Committee would like to chat to you to find out what your priorities are and what services they, as your representatives, should be looking to improve over the next year.

Eid el-Fitr celebration

Community Activities
We are going to be celebrating Eid el-Fitr with residents at Ellington School.
Few festivals in the Muslim world are anticipated with greater delight than Eid el-Fitr. It is this festival that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. In Islam, believers stop eating and drinking during daylight hours for 30 days.
A special assembly is being held for children and parents. After assembly the children will hold a fashion show of their traditional dress.
Both parents and children will have a chance to be involved in an interactive drumming session and the Asian Women’s Group will be providing food.
Staff will be on hand to help complete Service Information Forms with our residents.

Fun day is organised with Project Home Front which is a multi agency action group for Arborfield. Thames Valley Police, Wokingham Community Wardens, MOD Police and the Army are all taking part and providing entertainment. The event will be held at Howell Close open area by the car park. There will be a litter pick starting from 12.00 and residents who participate can enjoy a free BBQ courtesy of Maidenhead and District Housing Association.

Fane Way Hot Street with Fire Service

We’re teaming up with the Fire Service to carry out free home fire safety checks in properties in Fane Way. The Fire Service will be attending with a team of fire fighters and will be door knocking in the Neighbourhood to see if people would like a free fire safety check and advice. Our staff will be on hand with the new mobile office to answer any queries you may have. If you haven’t filled in your service information form yet we will be more than happy to help. Note: If there is an emergency that the fire service need to attend the event will be postponed.
