I recognize the importance of Tenant Participation when it comes to making the decisions about new policies, initiatives, etc. This is also important with regards to Community Groups. I have lived in Social Housing for more than 20 years and have always maintained knowledge of government legislation and the Housing Corporation. I have previously been a member of Toynbee Housing Association and a Tenants’ Link member. I have been a MDHA resident for 8 years.
Hobbies and skills: I have a keen interest in Local Politics, Housing Policy and the Community. I am on the Local Police Panel and Secretary for a Local Community Group. Previously I have been a Youth and Community Worker, Community Liaison Officer and initiated an After School Club and Youth Club (funded by two Housing Associations). I feel I bring knowledge and support for tenants in Maidenhead.
