Born in 1932, spent childhood years in Whitton (Twickenham). After the war I joined the Fleet air arm and served for 8 years. As a civilian I worked for Coopers Payen on the Slough trading estate for 30 years in the management accounts department, retiring in 1988 at the age of 56. Since then I have worked voluntarily for the Cox Green Community Centre and as a MDHA Residents Association Member and server on the boards of management of both MDHA and HSL.
The family moved to Maidenhead in 1957 and acquired a council house in 1961. The family is now 4 children and 8 grandchildren. I am hoping for a great grand child.
